Scent Workshop

Fun Dog Agility are proud to be hosting a scent seminar afternoon for Caroline and James from Mind your Dog (www.mindyourdog.co.uk). The afternoon will consist of introductions and information about how dogs perceive the world, the importance of scents and types of scent work. Then the first practical part of the day we will do some fun and very simple scent games so people see how easy it is to do it at home. We then do a little more theory explaining how to introduce a scent and giving handling tips before going into the second practical part with the dogs. We will use rooibos (red tea) as the substance to detect for dogs.If we have a dog who takes longer to learn a scent, we can switch to using food.
